Sew Sensations – Child’s Apron w/Handtowel

I just love this apron! Elastic around the neck, so there are no ties getting tangled in her hair, hand towel…for all those little messes, and a cute little pocket in case she needs to hold a pen or whatever else. 🙂 This would be great made with Cars or Cowboys for my little man. Will have to get to work on that.

If you would like one custom made for your little one, just let me know what fabric patterns you want…(this will vary the cost, depending on how specific you want to get.) Also comes in Reversible – customizable as desired! Apron as shown is $25.00

I can also make matching Mommy & Me aprons!

Thank you for looking. All items come from a smoke free, pet free home.

Sew Sensations – Pink & White Binkie Blanket

Binkie Blanket is created with soft white minky dot on back and flannel/chenille blocks on the front. The attached lacy loop has velcro for easy open and close. It will keep that binkie from getting lost or use with hook to attach to the carseat. It is also handy for when baby gets to walking…curl that finger into it and carry it with them. It is very soft. Measurements: Approximately 14″ by 20″. (This binkie blanket has no decorative stitching on the outside edge… I prefer the feel of it without. It is stitched internally and without the outer stitching it feels extra comfy. It does not need the extra stitching as it is very durable, however, I will stitch to your preference.)

If you want babies details embroidered onto the Binkie Blanket $5 per line…up to 30 characters per line. Applique letters $2 each.

Binkie Blanket: $18

This blanket is made to order just for you and will ship out in approximately 7-14 days. If you need the blanket quicker please contact me for information on a $5 rush upgrade fee.

Shipping $3.50

The Little Things Matter

I made my way leisurely through the store as I waited for prescriptions once again. This was the 6th time…or maybe the 7th time, in the last two and a half weeks. After a while I just don’t remember anymore. Seems like I have spent most of my time this last week in and out of the Doctors office and waiting for medications. The sickness has made its rounds. Today’s visit was our second this week for J. The antibiotics are not working so they ran tests and put her on something new.

I decided to go to the party section since Big E is turning 7 this weekend and I had still not purchased decorations of any kind. Tinkerbell, this is what Russell and I had decided on weeks ago. So I started to pick up a few things. Well, my DB decides that Tinkerbell is not good enough. He wants it to be Toy Story! LOL Needless to say, I told him “NO”. The party was for his sister, after-all and she would like Tinkerbell better. Though he still had many more ideas about what to get I somehow got through it all and got everything that was needed.

Seeing that his opinion was not being given the credit he felt that it deserved he decided he wanted to take a nap. I laid out my sweater and he was out in no time. So was little E.

I received my call saying that the medication was ready for pick-up and coaxed J back up from her position on the end of my cart so that we could go get them. She looks up at me and says…”Mom, I feel like …well, really drained. I’m dizzy and I don’t want to walk.” So I propped her up and headed for the pharmacy.

Finally, we get to the checkout..get everything paid for and out the door. At this point, I am freezing! What in the world was I thinking giving up my sweater? Well, that is easy…I would do anything for my babies. He was sleeping so soundly I didn’t want to disturb him so I walked as fast as J would let me and got everything in the car. Last but not least I lifted my little DB out of the cart and into the car. Only to find that he was hiding a toy underneath him the whole time! Sneaky!

How easy it would have been to just leave with it. I was exhausted and did not want to go back in for a $3 toy. But, I knew I had to. The adversary wants us to let down our guard and let the little things get us. He knows that if he can get us on something so minor…he can get us on something bigger. All he has to do is bide his time.

So, I ran quickly back inside, paid for the item and returned to my vehicle feeling like I had conquered a mountain. In a way, I did. I won my round against Lucifer today. Not to say that he won’t try again, but I know that I shall not be tempted beyond what I am able to resist..big or small.
1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

No matter what your trial is, remember that God is with you. He is faithful and will not let you fall. His hand is outstretched at all times, we have but to reach out and grab hold.

It was also a good teaching moment. I was able to show my children how to be honest even when it may seem insignificant. Even the Little Things Matter…..
